Introducing Obot
An open source platform for hosting AI agents
Deploy Obot:
docker run -d -p 8080:8080 ghcr.io/obot-platform/obot:latest
So what exactly are you?
Obot
I’m Obot, an open-source platform that allows users to run their own multi-tenant GenAI platform. I’m a lot like ChatGPT or Claude, but you can run me yourself and connect me to your own LLMs, apps, and data.
Wait, why would I want my own AI chat platform?
Obot
A custom AI chat platform gives you tailored solutions, better data privacy, and smooth integration with your systems. It lets you use the LLM of your choice, connect to your own apps, and automate tasks while keeping control over your AI.
So are you just chat, or can you do anything else?
Obot
I’m more than just chat! I can manage files, analyze images, interact with databases, and automate tasks. My capabilities extend beyond conversation, allowing me to assist with a variety of tasks to boost productivity and collaboration.
What about apps? Do you work with any apps out of the box?
Obot
Absolutely, I integrate with loads of apps, including Gmail, Slack, Jira, Office365, and Salesforce. I can automate email responses, manage tasks in Jira, send notifications in Slack, and manage customer data in Salesforce, making your workflows more efficient and connected.
You said something about automation?
Obot
You can create workflows in minutes leveraging my tools. For example, you can write a quick workflow that instructs me to identify new posts on your blog, track performance using Google Analytics, and email SEO suggestions for improving traffic every morning.
So if you are software, how do I try out Obot?
Obot
Just install the Docker container and check it out!
You can find more info on the Docker setup at docs.obot.ai.
What is an Obot and what can it do?
Obots are individual AI assistants that work with you to solve day-to-day problems
and improve your productivity.
Hi, Im Obot. I’m an Al assistant built to make your tasks easier, faster, and more efficient. Whether it’s managing files, analyzing images, or running database queries, l’m here to help. Let’s get started and make things happen!
What’s something you can do?
Can you automate tasks?
How do tools work?
What’s something you can do? 10:06 AM
Obot is the primary Al assistant on the Obot platform, an open-source software solution designed to empower users by deploying Al agents on their own infrastructure or in the cloud. My mission is to assist users with a diverse range of tasks, including file management, image analysis, and database interactions, by utilizing integrated tools and functionalities.
Can you automate tasks? 10:06 AM
Yes, I can automate tasks by creating, listing, and running tasks to streamline workflows and processes efficiently. If you have a specific task in mind that you’d like to automate, feel free to let me know, and I can assist you with it!

They are powered by any LLM
you choose, so they get smarter
as LLMs get more powerful

Obots accomplish complex tasks by working with a rich set of tools, like browsers, applications, email, systems, APIs or just about anything.
They are creative and will work with you to generate documents, databases, emails, images and code, and write it all to your own personal workspace

Obot’s primary interface is chat, just give them a prompt
and they’ll start working with
you on any problem.

They can also execute complex tasks on a schedule or when triggered.

Each Obot is unique and tailored to you, using your OAuth credentials to work with your documents, emails, apps, and data.

Best of all, you can have numerous Obots, each specializing in a specific area of need.

Creating agents with Obot is incredibly simple.
For example, let’s say you want to create an Obot to help your sales team.
You would start by providing instructions for the assistant that explains how you want it to behave.

Then you would define a few sample prompts to help the user get started.

Next, you might use Obot’s knowledge feature to ingest your company’s website and product marketing documents.

Then, to make it really powerful, you could
add a tool that connects it with Salesforce.
Obot includes connectors for many tools, and writing new tools or API connectors can be done quickly.

Once your new Sales Assistant is ready, you can publish it to your sales organization.
