Over the past few months, I set out to do something fairly simple: build a course to help people properly understand how to work with MCP in real-world scenarios — not just the theory, but how to actually get something running.

But while building it, something interesting happened. I started working from a project one of our engineers had developed internally—initially just as a way to support the course material. But the more I used it, the more it became clear this could stand on its own. So I kept building.
And that’s what has now become Obot Academy.
What is Obot Academy?
Obot Academy is the easiest way to get hands-on with a real Obot environment. It gives you access to a live Obot instancee — dedicated to you, or shared if you prefer — that you can configure however you like..
No installs. No infrastructure. No setup. Just open a browser and start building.
Instant Access, Zero Setup
One of the biggest blockers when learning MCP is simply getting something running. Obot Academy removes that completely., giving you:
- A fully deployed Obot instance
- A clean environment to experiment in
- Full control to configure it your way
By default, instances run for 24 hours. Extensions are available if you want to keep going. Whether you use it alongside the course or just to experiment on your own, you can quickly build an authenticated, auditable MCP gateway without managing any infrastructure.
